Terms of Service

These terms apply when you engage SiteRise ("we", "us") to design, build or maintain a website. Any change is only binding if we agree to it in writing.
Scope of work
We'll agree the scope, deliverables, timeline and price in writing before starting — usually via WhatsApp or email. The Local Starter package covers a custom 5-page website with the features listed on our pricing section. Work outside that scope is quoted separately.
Payment
A 50% deposit is due before we begin, with the balance payable on launch. Ongoing hosting and care is billed monthly in advance at R300/month and can be cancelled with 30 days' notice.
Ownership
On final payment, the website design, code and content (excluding third-party plugins and stock assets, which remain under their own licences) become yours. You own the domain and can migrate hosting elsewhere at any time.
Revisions
The Local Starter package includes one round of design revisions. Additional revision rounds are billed at our standard hourly rate, quoted upfront.
Care plan
The R300/month care plan covers hosting, security updates, SSL, backups and small content edits (typically under 30 minutes per request). Larger changes are quoted separately.
Liability
We take reasonable care to build reliable, secure sites, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted uptime, specific search rankings, or protection against every possible security threat. Our total liability is limited to fees paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by South African law.
